History
"6 years ago I developed the first Juice and Smoothie Bar concept in
Chat ham-Kent after seeing the concept on the West Coast LA and through
tons of hours of research and development I put my take on it but after a
couple of years not 100% believing in the products and losing my passion for
it I sold out.3 years later I seen another huge trend on the West Coast
again the soft serve frozen yogurt cafes like Pink berry etc. and
again put my spin on it and opened Naked Berry Frozen Yogurt Cafe in July
2008 in Downtown Chat ham. It was a healthier alternative to ice cream and
was tart but sweet and zero fat and very refreshing you can customize it
with fresh fruit or dry toppings enjoyed in a cafe style hip, And modern
atmosphere to lounge in and also Free Wiki. We also offered green tea
flavor along with the original milkshakes and non-dairy blender z.
When winter started to approach the business really dropped significantly,
so I decided I needed to add a food menu to the business model. With no
experience what so ever in the food industry, I knew I had a major challenge
ahead of me, but loving challenges I took my menu to another level to
capture a special niche in the market. People that are becoming more aware
of what they are eating, that lead a healthy and active lifestyle like
myself. A menu that only used all natural whole foods without the
preservatives, chemical additives and processing using some select organic
and local products when in season. No processed meats or cheeses and the good
fats. The most nutritionally dense products made from scratch and using my
own proprietary recipes. After days of experimenting with ingredients and
combinations and different products I launched it in November 2008. Changed
the business name to Naked Berry Natural Food & Frozen Yogurt Cafe We added
a Smoothie Bar in Spring of 2010.which I took to another level compared
to what I developed 6 years prior. No Ice or Sorbet Fillers which just
increase volume with empty calories and decrease nutritional value we use
all fruit and 100%pure fruit juice with a little of our zero fat plain
yogurt to smooth it out our breads, pita pockets and tortillas don't have
preservatives added since we get them right from the people who make
them. Also in the Summer of 2009 I designed and developed a mobile unit
with the Frozen Yogurt and Smoothie Bar Concept which I take to outdoor
venues and the newest addition is a Naked Berry Express Frozen Yogurt and
Smoothie bar a very small take out only venue on 166 Grand Ave West right
near a large high school and local businesses hoping to capture some of that
market we do have some grab and go natural food items.
It has been a journey but a fun and challenging one which still hasn't
ended. We will continue to be innovative and developing new healthy products
so you have even more choices from vegetarians to people with special
dietary needs and so Chat ham- Kent residents have a place to go for real
honest nutritional food. It s been a terrific adventure in the past 2 years
and want to thank all our loyal customers that believe in us and love our
products and have contributed to our success."
Lots of Love, Peace and Health
